We went here with Bill’s cousins Robert and Anthony for lunch. Apparently, there is a whole chain of Max restaurants in theHartford area. (I’m not familiar with them, I’m from the Danbury area. My first experience with them was very pleasant. I loved my shrimp bisque: Not too heavy on the cream, and not stingy on the shrimp. I had the Penne Abbronzate, which had a lively tomato cream sauce that really popped with sun-dried tomatoes. Bill and Robert had the Orecchiete Salsiccia, which must have been prepared in the same pan because Robert’s was a little dry while Bill’s had a little too much broth. I’m very disappointed that I completely forgot to snap a picture of our meals, so here is a little shot of the exterior.
